In the span of a few months, my world was turned upside down. I lost my spouse, my sister, and my sister-in-law—three people who meant everything to me. The pain was indescribable, and I often wondered how I would ever move forward. This is my journey through grief, faith, and finding peace.
Scripture: Psalm 34:19 (NIV)
“The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.”
Grief changes us. It arrives uninvited and settles deeply into places we did not know existed. Whether grief comes through the loss of a loved one, the end of a marriage, or a season that broke our hearts, it reshapes how we see the world and ourselves. Life no longer feels the same—and neither do we.
In the early days of grief, healing can feel impossible. The pain is heavy, and the questions come quickly. Why did this happen? How do I move forward? Will my heart ever feel whole again? Scripture does not deny the reality of our suffering. Psalm 34:19 acknowledges that even the faithful will face many troubles. Yet it also reminds us of a deeper truth: God is present in every one of them.
Grief does not destroy us, even when it feels overwhelming. God meets us in the heartbreak, not with condemnation or impatience, but with compassion. Healing rarely happens all at once. It unfolds slowly—through quiet moments of prayer, through tears that become sacred offerings, and through the steady assurance that God has not left us.
The journey from heartbreak to healing is not a straight path. Some days feel lighter; others feel heavy again. But each step forward, no matter how small, is still progress. God restores not by erasing our pain, but by walking with us through it, shaping resilience and hope where sorrow once lived.
If you are grieving today, know that you are not weak for feeling broken. You are human. And you are deeply loved. God is near, gently tending to your heart and restoring hope in His perfect time. Healing will come—not because the loss was small, but because God’s grace is greater.
Prayer
Lord, meet me in my grief. Heal the broken places of my heart and restore hope where pain has settled. Help me trust You as You walk with me from heartbreak toward healing. Amen.
